Curriculum

NCCA Curriculum

Our K-12 program is focused on teaching methodologies rooted in grammar, logic and rhetoric. The span of our curriculum across these grade levels will include:

Reading/Literature
English Grammar
Bible
Mathematics/Arithmetic
Art
History
Geography
Latin (3rd-8th)
Science
Writing
Physical Education
Music
Library/reference skills
Logic (7th/8th)

During the K-6 Grammar stage, the curriculum focuses on teaching the facts, rules, techniques and fundamentals of each subject. To facilitate this, a portion of each day is devoted to language learning (approx. 90 minutes per day), and math (approx. 60 minutes per day). The classical mind takes history as its organizing outline of study, also integrating all subjects together to better understand the world around us and God’s active role in it.
